FAQ's

Plus Ones

Due to the intimate nature of our celebration and limited venue capacity, we’re unfortunately unable to guarantee plus ones for all guests. If a plus one has been extended, it will be noted on your invitation and RSVP.

Children

While we love your little ones, due to limited venue capacity we are only able to accommodate children of immediate family members.

Dress Code

For the Welcome Party, the dress code is Semi-Formal · Coastal Whites. We invite guests to wear shades of white, including white, ivory, cream and beige, with khaki also welcome for men. Women may wear dresses of any length, skirts, jumpsuits or matching sets, while men may wear collared shirts with trousers or tailored shorts. Linen and lightweight fabrics are encouraged—think coastal, polished and summery. Please avoid denim. Since we’ll be on a boat, open-toe shoes and stiletto-style heels are not recommended.

For the Wedding Day, the dress code is Formal Attire · Elevated Garden Party. Women should wear full-length dresses or gowns, and we encourage color, patterns, florals, texture and statement details—the more personality, the better! We kindly ask women to avoid black and white. Men should wear a suit or tuxedo; traditional and linen suits are both welcome, and while black suits and tuxes are perfectly acceptable, color is encouraged. Please no khakis, denim or button-downs without a suit jacket. Our ceremony will take place on grass, with cocktail hour, dinner and dancing on gravel or paved surfaces, so please keep this in mind when choosing shoes.

Travel & Accommodations

We encourage guests to fly into Lisbon Airport (LIS) and stay within the city of Lisbon (Chiado or Baixa neighborhoods) to be close to the weekend festivities and enjoy everything the city has to offer. Please refer to our Accommodations page for hotel recommendations and room block details. There are also many wonderful Airbnb options available throughout Lisbon.

Transportation

On the wedding day, we will be providing transportation for guests to and from the venue in Sintra, located approximately 20–25 minutes from Lisbon city center. We will arrange for pick-up and drop off at a central point in Lisbon, near the hotel block. If you choose to travel separately, Uber, Bolt and taxis are readily available, and complimentary parking is available on-site for those who choose to drive.

Registry

We are registered through The Knot — please refer to our wedding website for registry details and links. To make travel a bit easier, we kindly ask that gifts not be brought to the wedding and instead be shipped directly to our home. Thank you so much!

Formal RSVP & Meal Selection

While we are kindly requesting early RSVP commitments following the Save the Date to assist with planning, formal invitations and final RSVPs — including meal selections and weekend event confirmations — will be due in late Spring 2027. Additional details and timing will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.

Contact

For any questions regarding the wedding weekend, travel, accommodations, or events, please feel free to reach out to Jozy & Hunter via text or at thetiptonwedding@gmail.com. Our wedding planners are local to Lisbon and a wonderful resource for us throughout the planning process, so we’re happy to coordinate any questions with them as needed.

Passport

Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Plan for extra time at the Lisbon airport when arriving and departing to clear customs as there are new EES processes that take extra time.
